    Traveling to Brazil

    Visa

    Starting from April 2025, US citizens will need a tourist visa for entry into Brazil. You can get an Electronic Visa by following these 3 steps:
     
    1. Fill out the application and upload the necessary documents.
    2. Pay the fee.
    3. Download the eVisa.

    Airport & Transportation

    You will be flying into Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), in Guarulhos city, which is a neighboring city to São Paulo city (the first destination). Don't worry about transportation, we will be taking care of the shuttle to your hotel.
     
    Ilhabela (your final destination) is an island about 3 hours away from São Paulo, and we'll be taking a shuttle as a group a few days before the wedding (we'll confirm the date at a later time). If you would like to leave to Ilhabela earlier or later, just let us know beforehand and we'll coordinate everything with you.
     
    We'll be hiring shuttles for transportation within São Paulo and Ilhabela, for all the touristing you'd like to do.

    Please refer to Hospedagem Ilhabela section for hotels in Ilhabela (both options offered have a discount code and have breakfast included). Our family and us will be staying at Hotel Mercedes, so if you'd like to stay close to us, we'll be more than happy! You can also search for other options of hotels, inns, or Airbnbs, but I'd recommend staying somewhat close to us so we can help with transportation during the wedding week.
